We have had a pretty busy weekend. Basketball has started and even though Turner is out with a broken pinkie finger we still go watch the JV and Varsity games. I think we are in withdrawal from having football games to look forward to every week. So Friday night we watched Higley play Perry. The girls do really well at the games and love to look around at everyone and then will just fall asleep. The noise does not really seem to bother them. It does take them a few times to get used to the buzzer though. It is funny to see them jump when they first hear it.
On Saturday Jim Paul had winter formal. Here is a picture of him and his date Lauren Gail. For their day date they got up at 6:30am and went repelling with their group. JP only went down once (He gets his fear of heights from our dad) but said he had a good time and saw two bald eagles. Then he came home to rest up before the dance. They rent out Polar Ice and after the dance everyone changes and then ice skates for the rest of the night. I spent most of the day running errands with my mom.
On Sunday we blessed our beautiful daughters. I was not prepared for the fact that it was going to be such a big day. We had so much family come and we want to thank you all. I was pretty emotional too although I tried to hide it. I just cannot believe how blessed we are to be the parents of TWO wonderful little girls. Here are some pictures of the girls in their dresses. I will try to get some better ones posted soon. Mick's mom made the dresses and they are so precious.
We have this picture at our house of my blessing day. We pulled it out when the girls came home and could not believe how much they looked like me.
Now that they are starting to fill out they no longer look so much like my blessing picture so I thought I would add this one. We definitely share the same nose. I got it from Ladd and am glad to pass it on.
Even though Sunday was crazy and great the sweetest thing happened on Monday. My Grandpa Schneider who came down for the blessings touched my heart. The morning was the same as all others; it was past noon and I was still in my pajamas feeding the girls and my Grandma called me looking for my Grandpa. She said he was supposed to be here but I had not even heard from him. Just then there was a knock on my door and there was Grandpa. He had been out front planting snapdragons in the flower box he built me. I was so surprised. He said he saw them at WalMart and thought of me and decided to come plant them for me. He was just going to leave but he wanted to see the girls so he came in. I am so glad he did too, because had he just left who knows how long it would have taken me to notice them. I haven't been paying attention to the little things lately. It made me so happy. This may sound odd but it so nice to be thought of like that. So many people have done so many nice things for us since the girls came and we are so grateful. But he did it for ME. My life has become these girls and I love it but he remined me that I am still me and I am loved for it. So I just want to say, "THANK YOU GRANDPA!"
Last night we started a new bedtime routine. Mind you it is still a work in progress. We are training them sleep in their cribs without needing constant attention to fall asleep. So after they eat we love them until they fall asleep in our arms and them we lay them in their cribs. They always wake up and want to be held or patted or rocked, etc. So this training process comes with lots of tears. From them and me. but it is really not that bad. I give in a lot, but the end result is so great. They are sleeping so good once they get into a deep sleep and that means I get to go into my own bed and get into a deep sleep as well.
We are still battling the spitting up as you can tell by the wet spot in front of Zerin's face so I am still getting up a few times in the night to wipe them off and scoot them over so they are not sleeping in it. They have been in separate cribs so they wouldn't wake each other up but while Mick was changing Zadie's stinky diaper last night she peed all over her crib. So they slept together last night and slept so well we are going to see if when we put them together tonight they sleep as good. If so they will be sharing for a while longer. They are just starting to get so big and tall but watching them grow is amazing.

Sam, your girls are so cute!! And they really do look like you!! I love their blessing dresses they are gorgeous! I can't believe how much work goes into those girls, you are amazing. I thought ONE baby was alot of work I couldn't imagine two!! I hope they start sleeping better, I remember sitting outside my sons door just crying because he wouldn't go to sleep unless I rocked him, but then I wouldn't get any sleep so I started to let him cry, and it is hard!!! Good Luck!!
I am so sorry we couldn't make it to the blessing. Things have been so crazy! Adam had to stay at the church for tithing settlment and the twins were so tired there was no way I could brave another sacrement meeting. Plus my Gamps is in the hospital and I spent most of the day there. BUT your girls look so stinking cute! I can't believe how big they are getting! Loved their bows too!
