The Real 24th Celebration Tournament

We had a great weekend in Snowflake for the 24th Celebration. Mick was in the golf tournament, had a small family reunion, and his 10 year high school reunion. Needless to say it was pretty busy. But I think my favorite part is watching the whiffle ball tournament that has gone on for years in my Uncle Steve's back yard. This year was one of the most competitive yet. All the younger boys (Who are still in school) take on the older boys (Who are all married) and the rest of us get to sit back and watch the show.

The younger boys' team consisted of Jim Paul, Turner, Blake, Tanner, and Matt and Tom Ross. Their youth prevailed and they won the best out of three tournament in the third game.

The older boys' team consisted of Mick, Haven, Adam, Derrick, Creston and McKay Mills. They put up a great fight but were just not able to prevail. But they did manage to keep us all entertained. hehe.

Here is Mick pumping up his team.

Haven was not supposed to play because of injury but McKay was late showing up so they had him pitch from a chair. Well as you can see the chair was not up for the task. I think all the white chairs like this one were on strike this weekend because my dad had one bust on him and I almost got tossed out of one, and would have if the tree swing was not there for me to hand onto.

This one is my favorite. Adam is actually attempting to slide into second base. I think he know was going to be out so he opted to try and distract the other team. I don't remember if it worked or not but he was able to put a smile on all the spectators faces.
