Our trip to Utah

We drove to Utah over the weekend for a family reunion with Mick's Mom's family. The weather was great and the scenery was beautiful. The drive up seemed to take forever because we had to stop every hour and a half (Doctor's orders) to walk around and stretch out. Mick's sister Shelbie rode up with us and helped with some of the driving. Thanks Shelb!! When we got to Mick's grandma's house one Thursday night everyone was already up in the mountains camping so we visited with one of Mick's missionary companions, Dave House, and his family. It was so great to see them. On Friday another mission buddy of Mick's, Riley Duval, took us out on his boat along with his brother, Ryan, and another mission buddy, Adam Garfield. I couldn't participate in any of the water sports so I just took pictures from the boat. I was so jealous of them wake boarding and trying to knee board on the wake skate and I don't think any of them were jealous of me being pregnant. haha. We had a great time and they were all so nice and understanding when after a couple hours they had to drive me back to the doc so I could pee. I felt like such a party pooper but we went back out an kept partying so I was glad I didn't ruin the day.

That night we had dinner with these mission buddies and another companion of Mick's, Shaun Porter, and their wives. Riley's wife Annie had to work so we missed her :(
But it was a good time and it is so funny to listen to them all tell stories from their mission and talk about the other missionaries.
On Saturday morning we headed out to the reunion. It was beautiful and there were patches of snow everywhere. Here are some picture and they are the first of me since being pregnant. NO LAUGHING!!!!
It was great to see everyone and I think Mick had a really good time. I can't lie, I did struggle a bit but tried to be a trooper. Saturday night we drove to the base of the mountain and stayed in a tiny little motel and then went back to the reunion on Sunday. Mick's grandparents had some car trouble pulling their trailer down the mountain so Mick's parents waited with them for a tow truck and we all waited for them to get home. Mick tried to let Shelbie and their cousin Jessica hear the babies heart beats through the stethoscope but they were moving and kicking too much. They got to feel them and that was neat and it was so funny to see them kick the stethoscope off my belly almost every time Mick tried to press it down to hear them. We are getting so excited for them to get here. Everyone got home safely at about 2:30 in the morning and we all went to bed.

Monday we make the trek home. It seemed to go faster too me but was really hard on my body. My feet got so swollen. This is a picture of my ankle and leg after only 3 hours in the car. They got worse as the drive went on but have gone down quite a bit since I was able to get home and elevate them.
We are now glad to be home and plan on working and resting before we go to the Ervien reunion this weekend in the White Mountains.
